Skipper is a young Treeing Walker Hound with a nose for adventure and a heart full of zoomies. If there’s fresh air, sunshine, or even a suspiciously interesting leaf blowing by, he’s ready to investigate. 🌿🐾 This outdoorsy boy would happily major in “Backyard Exploration” with a minor in “Professional Squirrel Supervisor.” He prefers life under the open sky, where he can stretch those long legs and practice his very serious hound business. Skipper has been a resident of the shelter since 1/29/26, after being picked up running in and out of traffic. While his street-crossing strategy definitely needed improvement, he’s decided shelter life is much safer — though he’d much prefer a cozy home base of his very own. He’s dog-friendly and loves making new canine pals — the more playmates, the merrier! He’s playful, bouncy, and always ready for a game of chase. Despite his goofy energy, he’s a polite gentleman around chickens and cats too. Farm friends? Feline roommates? No problem. Skipper says, “We can all hang.” With his floppy ears, bright eyes, and happy tail that seems to have a mind of its own, Skipper brings sunshine wherever he goes. If you’re looking for a sweet, silly sidekick who believes every day is an adventure (preferably not in traffic!) Skipper is your guy. 🐶✨
