Riya

Riya’s story is one that breaks hearts but also reminds us of incredible resilience. Her former owner took her deep into the woods, tied her to a tree, and left her there to die – alone, pregnant, and afraid. By pure chance, a kind soul happened to be sightseeing and discovered her badly tangled and unable to move. She saved her life and brought her to the shelter 9/17/2025. Despite the cruelty she endured, Riya’s heart remains full of love. She greets every person with gentle affection and hopeful eyes, believing that somewhere out there is a family who will finally cherish her the way she deserves. Riya is ready for a TRUE FOREVER home – one where she will never be left behind again.
